Vysoká cesta was named in 1911. ‘Vysoká cesta’ translates as ‘high road’, and, in relation to the terrain directly to the west, this is accurate. It was called Chodská until 1947, after the old name for the area around Domažlice (https://whatsinapraguestreetname.com/2022/11/19/prague-3-day-14-domazlicka/).
